HostTalk is designed for legitimate vacation rental and property management use. This policy defines acceptable use to protect guests, property managers, and the integrity of the platform.
Permitted Uses
Vacation Rental Guest Communication
HostTalk is designed to answer inbound calls from guests staying at or inquiring about short-term rental properties. This includes questions about check-in, amenities, house rules, and property-specific information you have configured.
Property Management Operations
Property managers may use HostTalk to handle after-hours inquiries, reduce repetitive call volume, and provide 24/7 availability to guests across one or more properties.
Multi-Property Portfolios
Property management companies may use HostTalk across multiple properties under a single account, subject to the plan tier and call limits applicable to their subscription.
Prohibited Uses
What HostTalk Must Not Be Used For
Deceptive Practices
HostTalk may not be configured to deceive callers about the nature of the service. The AI must not claim to be human when sincerely asked.
Collection of Sensitive Data
HostTalk may not be configured to solicit or collect payment card numbers, government ID, passwords, or other sensitive personal information from callers.
Harassment or Abuse
HostTalk may not be used to contact, harass, or surveil individuals without consent. The service is inbound-only and may not be used for outbound calling campaigns.
Emergency Services Substitution
HostTalk may not be positioned as a substitute for emergency services. Properties must maintain direct emergency contact information accessible to guests.
Illegal Activity
HostTalk may not be used in connection with any illegal activity, including properties operating in violation of local short-term rental regulations.
Platform Abuse
Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or manipulate HostTalk's AI or infrastructure is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination.
